do you wake up in the morning
missing me,
too?
you're booking in
in a few hours but you have that
picture perfect moment
of us:
lying down so close to
each other our
bare skin
touch,
leaving me sparks
as if
for the very first time
on replay
in your head.
can't take it
no more;
you dressed up in your
uniform
picked up your
already packed green and black
bag
from the floor
(because you know
last minute
packing do you no good)
you walked and walked
almost aimlessly

i thought of you.
you recalled that one time
you called me three times
because i was eating at
the metropolis
mac donalds
with my grandmother,
(whom you showed
no interest in
pretending
to show some respect
-
just
the occasionally "hi auntie" (s))
I only picked up on the
forth call.
you made food warm enough
to not
remind you of your cold heart
you like
showing off on your sleeves
so much.
you imagined me
sitting opposite of you
not in front,
all smiley and bubbly
with that guy
i hang out so much with.
only that's not true.
i still cry
myself to bed,
thinking of you.
you stared out blankly
trying
to stop the thoughts from coming.
the christmas lights
though
reminded you of me
of the plans we made.
maybe you're right
letting go is better.
okay.
